Many college universities have begun to allow their students to practice surgery through virtual technology. If you have played any of the flight simulator computer games then you probably know a little bit about virtual simulation games. Just like the flight simulator games teach people like you and I what it is like to fly a plane the virtual surgery simulators teach people what it is like to perform surgery. Of course it is not exactly what it would be in a hospital. The virtual surgery simulator is a good training tool for universities to use for their students.

Many sites and books try to teach you how to program in a certain language, but ours is different. Why? We want to teach you the concepts and theories of computer science that provides the background for actual programming. With this knowledge, one can easily switch to a programming language of their choice since computer science is common to all programming languages while syntax (grammar) is not. In our particular site, we illustrate the basic elements of computer science, such as data structures, time analysis, and object-oriented programming (OOP), and for our example code, we chose the Java programming language because of its relative simplicity. For those unfamiliar with Java or even with programming in general, don't worry; we have a complete Java programming tutorial for you.

People have always wondered what matter is made up of. Some believed there are four elements - earth, water, air, fire which make up matter. Some believed there are five elements - gold, earth, water, fire, wood. These conceptions were extremely wild until in approximately 430 BC, a Greek named Democritus suggested that matter was made up of invisible, indivisible particles called atoms, which came from the Greek word, 'atomos', meaning 'indivisible'. However, he stated that atoms couldn't be split into even smaller particles, which was very wrong. This theory was taken lightly until about the early 1800s. This website will lead you to understanding more about the indivisible!

The Ecotrashpay project proposes a new way of attributing and paying for garbage, conveting the old tax on the garbage based on the home surface expressed in square metres, in a new kind of rate based on the numbers of components of the family and above all calculated on the effective quantity of garbage produced.
The heart of the Project is the information system storing or a smart card in addition to the database.
Considering the wide diffusion of this new technology (ie: the SIM used in cellphone, the new credit cards, etc) witch, for the security offered to the data protection has been chosen by the Italian government for the production of personal identity card, our idea is to employ one single card for several services: identity cards, citizen’s card, bank card and naturally ecotrashpay card.

The Entry "Sailing Vessels" has two variants: one written in English and another written in Russian. First was created in Russian, bacause the idea belongs to the Russian students Mishurin Alexander and Zelensky Evgeny of the 10 grade, Omsk, That's why this part of the sight is more informative, it contains the history of building both Russian and foreign sailing vessels, it also has the following articles: Morse code, sea terms dictonary, a puzzle, funny stories connected with sea, folk signs to forecast the weather and others. The sight describes the most ressels, dimensions, their structure, euipment and different types of sails. The English version is not so detailed. It describes only the beginning and development of Russian sailing shipbuilding from simple rowing vessels of Kiev Russia (1136) up to the latest models of Ekaterina's epoch, XIX century. We think it would be interesting for the foreign students to learn some facts especially from the Russian history. The sight represents the full discription of each ship, the history of its designedand building, the essence of the given name, some information about famous people, who commanded those ships, and the historic battles in which they participated. The same part of the sight has the article "Make It Yourself" which describes how to make the vessel model your self.

NASA’s most recent venture into space will involve the study of one of the most fascinating, yet mysterious features of the solar system—-the sun. Ironically, mankind has lived for millennia under the sun’s vigilance, yet we still remain oblivious to most of its undiscovered sciences. You’d think that after thousands of years of scientific observation, we would have unveiled more information about this age-old star than we have, but two tiny details have complicated our efforts--the sun is too bright and hot to study directly, and too far away to study closely. So how is NASA going to examine the sun if their equipment can’t get past the intensity of heat and light? The answer lies in an old form of technology, exploited for the purposes of modern science. Invented more than 450 years ago, Galileo’s telescope has inspired NASA’s HESSI telescope, which will scope the sun’s solar flares to collect data about their particle acceleration and energy release. Our goal in developing this informative website is to help students better understand the purpose of the HESSI telescope. We also wish to provide teachers with resources appropriate for their classroom lesson plans.

Prometheus, according to legend, stole fire from the Heavens and brought it down for all mankind. This Fire sparked off the beginning of science and technology on Earth. Legend aside, our state of technological advancement today is the result of the creative minds and relentless efforts of people over the millennia. All we know of them may be from ruins and artifacts, but the fruits of their genius and hard work live on in whatever we do. This site attempts to recognise their achevement and pay tribute to them by making known what they have done and how we have benefited from it. Our site documents the inventions and innovations of six of the pioneer peoples of science – the Babylonians , the Chinese, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Indians and the Romans. It discusses the various scientific developments of each civilization and the people and places behind them, in various fields including mathematics, construction, warfare, medicine and many others. Information is put forward through text accompanied with relevant images. A site map, glossary of terms and a user-friendly menu gives visitors easy access to the site. Quizzes, puzzles and an image gallery offer information from a different perspective. A discussion forum invites users to contribute to the site as well as learn from others. We hope your visit will be an enriching experience and we urge you to share this experience with others on the siteas well. Welcome!
