The Fallen Stars

2003
Picture the night sky, with Orion, the Big Dipper, Leo, and Capricorn all shimmering in brightness. Now imagine the stars of Orion dimming until you can no longer make out the constellation. Each one of the stars that make up the hunter likely has their own planets, produce their own light, and has their own distinct color. Imagine the stars are people with their own personalities, families, friends, histories, and lives. During the Holocaust, many stars were dimmed, each one unique, and each one illuminating its own portion of the heavens. Just as the dimming of Orion would affect the brightness of the entire night sky, the loss of these individuals affected the brightness of the whole world.

Justice at Last!? The Holocaust Reparation Story

2001
Justice at last? Since the end of the tyrannical Nazi-regime, the term "Holocaust" is well known and generally associated with the suffering of innocent people under the Nazis. Often enough, the association of this particular suffering is limited to concentration camps. Little is known about the suffering connected to slave labor which also was a part of the Holocaust. Throughout World War II, the Nazis forced the inhabitants of the conquered countries and also Germans to work under horrible conditions. French or Polish people, Russians or Ukrainians, Germans or Dutch people, communists, democrats, Jews, Christians, gypsies, it did not matter where the people came from or what they believed in. All in all, the Nazis forced 14 to 15 million people to slave labor. Only 1.5 million of those fomer slave laborers are still alive today, in the year 2001. The others died knocking stones, building streets, houses, guns, bombs for the Nazis. They died of hunger or were killed. Those still alive have been seeking justice until today. Our website will give you an overview of the history of the slave laborer's claiming compensation and the final result of their efforts. Our site will also present the individual fates of different people from different countries.

Ash rain - the World War II death camps

1999
The life in the World War II death camps was filled with terror, fear and death. For the prisoners, every day was a fight for survival. "Ash rain" is an attempt to describe and explain all the cruelties, which took place in these camps. It is also a story about our meeting, as students, with these camps - what we saw and what we felt. We feel it is important to tell others about what happened at these horrible places, in order to make sure it does not happen again in the future. With this project, we wish to reach out to as many as possible. Because, sadly enough, there are still a lot of people who does not believe that the Holocaust did really happen.
