Hunger is one of the biggest problem today in the whole world. It is a famine resulting from the different calamities that claim more victims each year due to its devastating effects on human beings.
People became malnourished that may even cause their death.Children lack different food nutrients that is why their physical, and mental growth are being impaired, making them easily infected to different diseases. As a result they cannot study well as they grow up. Due to lack of education many people are unemployed- that is why they cannot afford to buy food which is the consequence of the poor economic development.

Each one of us must show concern to our environment and with the help of the government in producing different strategies to be complemented to fight this. Let’s work hand in hand together with the guidance of our Dear Lord for a richer economic development.

This entry, titled RACIAL HARMONY IN SINGAPORE, hopes to introduce to the world the different culture. Even though the original population of the country is made up of immigrants, working for the colonial government back in 1800s, they had brought along individual culture to Singapore. Despite the difference in background, culture, language, beliefs etc, they managed to stick together at work. Through interaction and the willingness to share and to tolerate each other, Singapore has these three main ethnic groups who are living harmoniously. The younger modernized generation tends to loose their roots. The media plays their part in creating the awareness and reminding them of their roots. By completing the project, the members came across matters that they are not aware about its existence. And the group hopes to share whatever knowledge they have acquired with other who wish to know about the culture of various ethnic group. The details are by means exhaustive.

This website tells the history of World War II not through indifferent facts, but through personal stories and accounts from veterans and those living in that time. These stories and accounts are things we need to hear. They may not always be happy, but they teach us about how our freedom was earned. The site branches off from there. We've got a timeline with some stories integrated. There is a hall of fame for veterans to show off medals and honors they've recieved. There are games that are just for fun like "Match the Veteran" or that are for learning and stimulating the desire to research like "Who's That Dictator?" There are links to books and websites that tell the history of WWII through interviews and personal accounts. We've also posted newspapers arcticles that talk about life back during the War. There are many, many things to do on this constantly growing website that you won't be able to even scratch the surface in a day.

This project attempts to contribute to the healing of South Africa by exploring two key issues. The first issue is that of the political violence of the apartheid era. The second is the current HIV/AIDS crisis.
We have decided to focus our project on a small community, Mpophomeni, which in many ways is typical the situation in South Africa. During the struggle years, it experienced a high level of violence and police brutality. Currently, it has an 80% unemployment rate, and a high HIV infection rate.
What we have attempted to do, is to provide an open-ended resource which the Mpophomeni community (young and old) can use to explore and discuss the past and present problems. We feel this is particularly important in the area of HIV/AIDS, as there is a taboo on this subject area, and yet it is essential that people start to openly share their views. We have also atempted to find out people's views by means of interviews and surveys.
We hope also that this project provides an insight into the real South Africa, rather than the unproblematic, picturesque, post-apartheid miracle which is the view of many. Through our discussion area, we invite people from all over the world to interact with real people and the real issues they face.

The main topic of our contribution to this contest is human rights. As this subject is very complex and comprehensive, we have divided it into smaller parts, in order to be able to treat the subject more thoroughly. We have specifically concentrated on the subtopics racism, death punishment and the rights of children, but we have also worked with the human rights in general and the organizations that work to secure them.
The main objectives of our entry is to give people a basic knowledge about human rights. What we really want to achieve, is to make people realize of what great importance the human rights are to the world. We believe that the human rights can only be strenghened through education and increased knowledge, which is what we want to provide.

We started on this entry basically with the aim to tell people what is becoming of this world. We want to achieve awareness in everyone around the world and made it known to everyone that we ourselves are losing our natural habitat as we cause other living things to lose theirs. As we lose our own natural habitat, it is only fair that we understand that it is because of man's greed that it is happening. We want to change this mindset! We want people to know that man's greed will kill all of us! As young people are the ones who surf the web, we hope that they come across this page and we can educate them. Our project has a case study of Amazon deforestation and it also touches on endangering of animals as well as the greenhouse effect and global warming.

Few people have tried to search their hearts to make sure they are free of prejudice. Many are not aware of the prejudice and discrimination they see every day. Our entry helps our audience to become aware of the prejudice in their minds. It then helps people to think of ways to overcome it. Because prejudice and stereotyping is the beginning of discrimination, our entry will help eliminate discrimination. In helping our audience think of ways to overcome prejudice (the birth mother of discrimination) we did not use books written by other people. By this, we tried to make our stories sound more from the heart and our theories more convincing. The body of our entry comes solely from our 13 years of experiences and thinking. This makes our entry unique and original in every way. We have also made a message board where others from all over the world can share their unique experiences and original ideas. While this fosters collaboration by users, it also helps to give users a stronger impression which will motivate actions toward the elimination of discrimination.

The educational purpose for our website is to let kids and adults know the rights of a child. We put special pictures on our website o illustrate problems that some people might have in their household. Our website also helps people by explaining to them what and why we have the rights. Some other ways that our website explains the child's rights is by giving cases that violate children's rights. We also added pictures that help explain the reasons. We listed as many rights as we could find by using the internet and thinking of them. Our website helps kids and adults by real neat buttons that take you to our pages that talk about where to get help and explain from our point of view the rights. Our website leads to a very, very special link that leads you to places where a child or adult could find help. We also give facts and stories that people have really experienced.

The objectives of "The World in Our Hands: Conflict Resolution Up Close" is to teach students (and adults) that conflict(s) is often healthy and there are ways of resolving conflict(s) peacefully. The P.S. 261 Campus is one place where such conflict resolution takes place on a daily basis. Another objective is to teach the steps involved in conflict resolution. Resolving conflict entails very specific skills which are taught at P.S. 261. We are hopeful that we may teach others these very same skills which have proven so valuable to us on our campus. Finally, we want other schools to know that not only are children involved in conflict resolution but teachers, parents, and administrators as well are trained to be "peacemakers" and in turn train others. We would like others to "meet" these "peacemakers" and learn a little about their backgrounds. The 261 Campus also has approximately 40 trained mediators who deal with problems at lunchtime. We would like others to get a glimpse at a typical mediation. It is our sincere hope that other school will learn from ours and perhaps initiate conflict resolution programs of their own.
