Getting Started with Projects
The Getting Started with Projects course provides K-12 teachers with the fundamental skills and knowledge to quickly begin using ThinkQuest Projects as an effective teaching tool. It includes one day of in-class training.
This course is appropriate for teachers who are new to, or have limited experience with, ThinkQuest Projects. During the course, teachers learn to create online learning projects, publish online content, and manage student participation.

Project Learning Institute
The Project Learning Institute (formerly 21st Century Learning Institute) is an in-depth course that trains teachers how to integrate technology, project learning, and 21st century skills development into their classroom curricula. It includes six weeks of online training and four days of in-class training.

ThinkQuest Projects Tutorial
The ThinkQuest Projects Tutorial is a self-paced course which will provide you with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to quickly begin using ThinkQuest Projects as an effective teaching tool. This one-hour online course is designed for teachers who are new to, or have limited experience using ThinkQuest Projects. You will learn how to create online learning projects, publish online content and manage your school's use of this collaborative platform.

Computer Lab Technical Requirements
Conduct ThinkQuest Professional Development classes in a classroom(s) connected to the Internet that meet the following minimum requirements:
- Internet connection speed: 1.54 MBps dedicated connection (T-1) used exclusively by the venue (unless otherwise authorized by the Oracle Education Foundation).
- Local area network: 10 MB switched network recommended.
- A dedicated workstation for the instructor and one workstation per participant. Maximum class size is 25 participants.
- Instructor workstation must allow for some form of projection so that all participants can view the instructor's screen.
- All participant workstations must have a clear view of the front of the classroom and the instructor.
- Workstation CPU type and speed: Pentium 266 MHz or higher recommended.
- Memory: 256 MB RAM for student, 512 MB RAM for instructor.
- Hard Drive Space: 280 MB.
- Workstation operating system: English language install of Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 6a, Windows 2000 Professional Edition, or Windows XP.
- Workstation English language software: Internet Explorer 5.0 (Service Pack 1) with java plugin or higher, RealPlayer 8.0, Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0, Flash 5, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
- Supported operation systems and browsers:
- Internet Explorer on Windows Operating System: Version 6.0 or higher.
- Mozilla Firefox on Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems: Version 2.0 or higher.
- Netscape on Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems: Version 7.0 or higher.
- Safari on Macintosh Operating System: Version 2.0 or higher.
