Coach Resources: Introduction

ThinkQuest is a wonderful project-based learning experience in which students collaborate to author innovative content that will be published in the popular ThinkQuest Library, a rich learning resource used by millions each month.

In the process of creating their websites, students have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, while building skills in teamwork, technology, and project management, as well as expertise in their chosen topic.

As a ThinkQuest coach, your role is to provide support and guidance to students throughout the project. The following resources are available to assist you through each phase of the competition:

1) The FAQ provides answers to common questions.

2) The Step-By-Step Guide explains each requirement and deadline of the competition and provides technical instructions on how to use the related ThinkQuest systems.

3) The Coach Resources are designed to supplement the Step-By-Step Guide with practical advice on managing the project and leading your students from start to finish:

• Planning a ThinkQuest project
• Conducting research
• Building web pages
• Finishing a ThinkQuest project
